Learning to Drive
Learning to drive should be a memorable and enjoyable experience.
We know that no two learners learn at the same rate , that is why we teach at you pace, not ours... Learn to drive with a patient and understanding and experienced RSA driving instructor. EDT Essential Driver Training. While learning to drive, we complete your obligatory 12 hour (minimum) EDT lesson course and include your EDT driving experience log, completed and uploaded to the RSA website on a lesson and lesson basis. To book a course clients must pay in full where all lessons will be taken in one or two 2-hour sessions i.e. 12 x 1 or 6 x 2 hour slots at a time suitable to you and the driving school, advance booking is recommended. |
Pre Testing
During the pre test lesson, we will go through your driving technique and explain what you need to know, understand and implement.
The pre-test will cover all aspects of your driving test and aim to correct any bad habits you may have created during sponsor practice. Pre Test Content includes... Moving away, including on a hill, Driving in all forms of traffic,Stopping and parking, Turning left and right, Speed and progress, Road position, Overtaking and passing, Anticipation and observation, Use of mirrors and signals, Compliance with traffic lights, road signs and markings, Use of the vehicle controls, Hand signals, Turnabout (3 point turn) and Reverse around a corner |
Your Driving Test
Preparing for your driving test is easy with Autostar. We advise you all the way. We will endevour to accommodate clients with a short notice driving test on the understanding that the client agrees to a 2 hour pre-test lesson and that in the opinion of your assessment that you are of test standard. This is a road safety issue, which we hope you will understand. In addition to the minimum 2 hour pre-test, car hire
cost is €180 which includes, a 1 hr and 15 mins of settle in time, prior to the actual driving test. We, teach from learner to novice drivers and are totally conversant with all requirements of pre-testing within, all 7 driving test centres of Dublin, i.e., Charlestown, Dun Laoghaire, Finglas, Raheny, Killester, Mulhuddart and Tallaght. |
